We look forward to welcoming you to The White Swan
FOR YOUR SAFETY
We continue to listen to Government announcements on measures and remain flexible and responsive, we will keep you closely updated as our plans and procedures develop.
We want you to rest assured that we are taking all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our guests and team members whilst we do everything to maintain the welcoming atmosphere.
The measures introduced include, social distancing measures, hand sanitiser at all entrances and in public spaces throughout the Inn. We have scrupulous cleaning protocols and a simplified guest journey to minimise direct interaction between team members and guests.
We have provided more detail below and will be updating and adapting as new guidance is released.
THE RULES & RISKS
We’re closely adhering to government guidelines and carrying out comprehensive risk assessments for all activities.
WE ASK YOU
While we take these steps and implement new measures, we ask you to be sympathetic and receptive to the guidelines we are implementing, deploy common sense and to play your part in keeping everyone safe.
If any of our team members become symptomatic, they will be asked to stay at home. We kindly ask that you practice the same approach. If you happen to fall ill before your visit, we will honour all deposits and be as flexible as we possibly can be.
We do kindly ask all guests to wear a mask while moving around the inside public spaces, until you are seated at your table.
When you arrive, you will find hand sanitizer stations at our entrances, we kindly ask you to use before entering. Other stations are available for guests to use throughout the hotel.
We ask everyone to please comply with the current government social distancing guidance of 2 metres and where not viable 1 metre is acceptable.
DINING WITH US
The rule of 6 or two households applies. We politely ask that you do not move furniture without speaking with a member of the team beforehand. We will be operating table service only. To reduce menu handling we will be printing once use only menus. Our online table booking platform is the best way to check availability and book your table.
As an inn we already upheld the highest health and safety standards and cleaning protocols. In addition to the scrupulous protocols already in place, we have invested in scientifically proven fogging machines that uses a mild solution of stabilised hydrogen peroxide to kill any germs dead. To minimise contact in our bedrooms our housekeeping teams will not enter your room during your stay unless you are staying more than three nights. If you require anything additional for your room, such as tea and coffee, toiletries or fresh towels, please ask a member of our team who will be delighted to help. For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, we have increased the cleaning frequency public areas.
Our full team will all be kitted with face masks.
In addition to our usual training modules, our full team are trained on new covid19 specific modules from cleaning and hygiene to customer service and have all completed the CPL Learning Ready to Serve programme supported by hospitality trade bodies UKHospitality, BII and Institute of Hospitality.
We are committed to working with supplier partners who uphold the same high standards as ourselves.
Our cancellation policy is 48hrs. If a deposit has been paid and you need to cancel due to a local lockdown, we will be able to hold the deposit to put towards a stay at another time.
WE ASK YOU
While we take these steps and implement new measures, we ask you to be sympathetic and receptive to the processes we have implemented, use common sense, and play your part in keeping everyone else safe.
*This statement is up to date as of the 28th April 2020. We remain flexible and will continue to adapt and update our protocol as things progress and in accordance with industry best practice.
