COVID-19 Statment
As most of the restrictions are been lifted and hospitality businesses will be able to return to "business as usual", what does "FREEDOM DAY" mean for us here at the White Swan ...
It's clear that we are a long way from having COVID expelled from our lives and as such, we have a duty of care to our customers and our team to keep everyone safe and ensure we do everything in our power to keep our doors open so that we can continue to welcome you all.
We want you to rest assured that we continue to take all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our guests and team members whilst we do everything to maintain the welcoming atmosphere here at the Inn.
Our measures include, social distancing, our team will continue to wear masks, we have hand sanitizer available throughout the Inn and we have scrupulous cleaning protocols.
We have provided more detail below and will be updating and adapting as we need to.
WE KINDLY REQUEST
We request that anyone with COVID-19 symptoms stays away from the Inn. Staff members or customers should self-isolate if they or someone in their household has a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loses/has changes to their sense of taste or smell, even if these symptoms are mild. They must also self-isolate if they or someone in their household has had a positive.
FACE-MASKS
Face-masks are optional for our guests.
HAND SANITIZER
When you arrive, you will find hand sanitizer stations at our entrances. Other stations are available for guests to use throughout the Inn.
DINING WITH US
To keep everyone comfortably distanced, our tables are all a minimum of 1.5 metre apart and we politely ask that you do not move furniture without speaking with a member of the team beforehand. To keep people standing at the bar to a minimum we will continue to operate a table service only policy.
We will keep indoor space as well ventilated as we possibly can.
OUR PEOPLE
Our full team have all been be kitted with face masks and although mask wearing is now optional, for everyone's safety they will continue to wear them.
Our team have been taking regular lateral flow tests and will continue to do so.
In addition to our usual training modules, our full team are trained on new COVID-19 specific modules from cleaning and hygiene to customer service and have all completed the CPL Learning Ready to Serve programme supported by hospitality trade bodies UKHospitality, BII and Institute of Hospitality.
We are committed to working with supplier partners who uphold the same high standards as ourselves.
CASHLESS PAYMENTS
We are still encouraging cashless payments please. We accept all major debit and credit cards and can take payments securely online.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our cancellation policy is 48hrs. Deposits paid will be held to put towards a stay at another time.
WE ASK YOU
We ask you to be sympathetic and receptive to the measures we have implemented, use common sense, and play your part in keeping everyone else safe.
We are looking forward to a busy few months ahead and cannot wait to welcome you all.
Best wishes,
Simon Cornish
General Manager
